#Lawrence welk resort escondido full
I'm not going to write a full review here (although I will write a review of LW Desert Oasis soon), but here is a brief run-down of the differences. We just got back from Lawrence Welk Desert Oasis in Cathedral City, so now we have stayed at both LW resorts in CC and Esconidido. I'm sure you'll get more info from others, but that's a start. When we stayed there, we never went to that pool, we were two couples and like almost having a pool to ourselves with basically no children - we like kids but the quiet and no splashing is nice.
I believe the newest pool which is kind of designed with children in mind is in the Villas section. You can use all the amenities at the resort regardless of where you stay. The Resort Villas are all two bedroom, large and one of the nicest timeshares we've ever stayed in as far as layout goes. The Resort Villas are the older units, Villas on the Green are newer. Resort Villas and Villas on the Green are basically in the same location. I'm going to assume that you were intending to stay in Escondido for the following comments. So first off you need to decide where you want to go. We were about to leave until they took their party elsewhere, but I can't help but wonder what they were doing there in the first place? Were they with family, or did Welk rent a villa to a rowdy group of individuals who wanted to party in a family environment? We will not be returning next year.Click to expand.First off Desert Oasis is in Palm Springs area while the other two are in Escondido, not far from the Coast between LA and San Diego. Don't get me wrong, I'm not some prudish anti-fun individual and my kids are not completely ignorant about life but what those girls discussed made even me feel uncomfortable. None of this bothered me overly much until I took my kids to the pool on a Sat night around 7ish, and encountered a group of twenty year-old girls at the hot tub, drinking, cursing, and talking very loudly about their sexual escapades. I overheard a guest mention how he could actually 'see his feet' today but then pointed out everything floating on the top of the water. The kids loved the rec center and the pool, however the latter was never kept clean. Let's just say I never felt comfortable removing my shoes inside the villa. We stayed for 7 days and housekeeping came once. I can't help but think it was our fault for requesting an upstairs villa and that is all they had available. Construction began early in the mornings and it was loud. Oh and the people below us smoked, so whenever we chose to sit on the patio we were greeted with cigarette smoke. The first night we discovered ants crawling on the kitchen counter, so I called and they sent someone over to resolve the problem(but not completely). They were nice about accommodating our request however, when we pulled up to the villa, parking was limited because of construction. This was our second stay at Welk and due to a lot of noise upstairs from us last year, we requested an upstairs villa this time. Cons: We are a family of 6 and stayed mid July.
